Young Widows - In And Out Of Youth And Lightness (2011)

I love this record. Right after saying so, i can write almost whatever i want cause you already know i'd STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to get this album, no matter what, so well it's bla bla and bla bla here and bla bla there.
No, seriously. Here we have the third nomination for Best-of-2011-record. This album is solid, mature, with no mistake at all. Surely, best release so far for YW from Louisville, KY. Yeah, it's kinda different from their previous stuff, both Settle Down City and Old Wounds (needless to say, they really don't have anything more in common with Breather Resist but their guitarist, huh!): here, we have LOADS less Jesus Lizard-alike guitar works and LOADS more blues, creating something i'd mark as really new and outstanding, without being too experimental or pointless or unlistenable or whatever (well, this doesn't utterly overcome the old records, which i still think are awesome and not pointless or unlilstenable or whatever). Evan Patterson is also quitting the typical postpunk recited/bored style vocals and turning into something more melodic and more personal.
I have to admit that now Young Widows is definitely in my top five active bands, so let me just STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to get this album, no matter what, so try it and then buy it.
And oh, this video is cool!
